My Origin

I was born and grew up in Fukuoka, Japan. I moved to Tokyo when I had my first full time job there. I came to the USA in 1998 in search of a new opportunity. I had several office jobs both in Japan and the USA as an accountant and accounting manager.

Encountered Reiki

I had never heard of Reiki in Japan even though I lived there for the first half of my life. In 2017, I had health challenges, and I decided to learn Reiki primarily to heal myself first. My thinking was that after I would become healthy, I would be able to start healing others as well. In December 2017, I took an online Reiki course created by Lisa Powers.

First remote attunement

The first six attunements I received were all remotely done by her. I started meditating at the first attunement appointment time in my living room not knowing where she was located, and ten minutes later, I started to feel very strong energy. It was as if I was in a pillar of high energy. It was coming from above. I felt that my hands were magnetically attached to my lap, and my field of view was rotating even though my eyes were closed. I felt my body was expanding or splitting in half. I felt unconditional love energy at one point and I started crying out of gratitude. It was intense!!! It lasted about twenty minutes and it started to die down. I was completely blown away with this event. I thought to myself; what just happened? It seriously expanded my consciousness and my reality changed. I experienced first hand that there was way more than this physical world.

Becoming Reiki master

I completed Level 1, Shoden. I figured I really needed hands-on experience which I could not get through the online course, so I took an in-person Reiki master course in Torrance, CA done by Toshie Nagamori and became a Reiki master in July 2018. I've been constantly performing Reiki healing sessions in-person and remotely since then. I have more than 1,000 clients, taught Reiki to 100 students.

Extending energy healing with Reconnective Healing

In August 2022, I took a two day in-person training in Orlando, FL for Reconnective Healing which was created by Dr. Eric Pearl. I became a foundational practitioner.

Going back to the roots; Jikiden Reiki

In May 2026, I took a three day training for Jikiden Reiki (the original Japanese Reiki) in Kyoto, Japan taught by Tadao Yamaguchi and became a certificed Jikiden Reiki healer. The representative of Jikiden Reki; Tadao Yamaguchi learned Reiki from his mother, Chiyoko Yamaguchi. She learned Reiki from Dr. Churijo Hayashi who was one of the apprentices of Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki.

I learned the differences between Western Reiki I learned here in the USA and the original Reiki which was taught by Dr. Chujiro Hayashi about 100 years ago in Japan. It was truly a privilege to receive Reiju (attunements) for Jikiden Reiki and received the original symbols that Dr. Usui and Dr. Hayashi used. Reiki evolved in the last 100 years in Western countries. However, some teachings and techniques were lost. I appreciate greatly how Chiyoko-sensei and Tadao-sensei kept Reiki as it was taught by Dr. Hayashi and took it very seriously the responsibility to teach Reiki to new generations of people. Spreading Reiki love to the world!!!
